Eagle Rock & North East Los Angeles (NELA)

Resting at the foothills of the San Rafael Hills and east of the revitalizing LA River, Eagle Rock is a bustling, vibrant northeast Los Angeles community. Known as a hub of arts and commerce, Eagle Rock attracts entrepreneurs and artists alike with its dynamic commercial offerings, restaurants, boutique retail, nightlife and community experience. Eagle Rock has one of the few July 4th fireworks extravaganzas.

Each October, the streets fill with music and food vendors for the Eagle Rock Music Festival, where bands perform in the streets and why the residents call themselves “Eagle Rockers”. Friday is Eagle Rock’s Farmer’s Market on Maywood and Colorado Boulevard, with fresh produce offerings and specialty foods from both near and far. Fancy some Yoga, sound bath, summer camp, making pottery or art? The Eagle Rock Center for the Arts and Bloom School both offers classes and performances for kids and adults throughout the year.

Hiking, running and bike trails abound in the San Rafael Foothills. Eagle Rock’s first dog park is under construction and opening soon. Have a special hobby you wish to pursue? The Beat Lab Academy and Bloom School of Music and Dance on Colorado are the perfect place to indulge your hidden passions. Eagle Rock is also home to Occidental College, alma mater of our very own 44th President Barack Obama. Award winning schools, from Elementary to High School, offer superior education opportunities for all.

With something for everyone, it’s easy to see why Eagle Rock and NELA are where everyone wants to live.
